Courial, Inc. (“Courial,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is dedicated to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect the Personal Information (as defined below) of our customers and users. This Policy applies to all Personal Information collected through www.Courial.com (the “Site”), Courial mobile applications, and any other websites or mobile applications linking to this Policy, as well as during any written, electronic, and oral communications (collectively, the “Services”). Courial collects Personal Information to assist in placing and receiving orders and to improve our services.
Your access to and use of our Services are subject to our Terms of Service, which define certain terms used throughout this Policy. Please read and understand the Terms and Conditions before using our Services. By using our Services, you accept the Terms and Conditions and our privacy practices as described in this Policy. If you are uncomfortable with any part of this Policy or our Terms and Conditions, please do not use or access our Services.
Courial utilizes a network of independent third-party contractors (“Courials” or “Couriers”) to provide delivery services to our users and merchant partners. Courials should refer to the Courial Privacy Policy for information on how Courial collects and uses Courials’ Personal Information.
Our Services may evolve over time, and we reserve the right to update or modify this Policy without prior notice. If we make any significant changes to the way we process your Personal Information, we will notify you before such changes take effect. If you disagree with any changes, you must cease using our Services. We recommend reviewing this Policy periodically. This Policy became effective on the date indicated above. Your continued use of our Services after any changes indicates your agreement to the revised Policy.
1. Collection of Personal Information
When you use our Services, we may collect or receive Personal Information to provide our services and operate our business. The types of Personal Information we may collect include:
a. Information You Provide to Us Directly
You may provide your Personal Information when using our Services, including when you register with Courial, search within or place orders through our Services, contact us with inquiries, respond to surveys, or otherwise access our Services. This information may include:
User Profile: Information such as name, email address, delivery address, and phone number associated with your Customer Courial account. Order Details: Information related to your orders, including items purchased, special instructions, date and time of order, and subtotal.
Payment Information: Payment details such as bank name and payment method.
Surveys: Information such as name and email address provided when participating in surveys or contests.

b. Information Received from Your Communications
When you use our Services, complete electronic forms, communicate with Courials, or contact us via online chat, email, phone, or text, we may automatically collect and store certain information, including your name and contact information, order details, the nature of your communication, the purpose of the interaction, and our response.
c. Information Collected Automatically
We may automatically receive and store certain information about you and your device(s) when you access or use our Site and Services. This information may include:
Technical Information: Information related to your browser and operating system, IP address, unique device identifiers, and other device-specific details. Site Usage Information: Information to understand customer traffic patterns and Site usage, including the webpage visited before accessing our Site or mobile application, the pages or features browsed, and the time spent on them. Site Preferences: Information about your preferences to enhance your productivity through cookies.

When you use the Services, we may collect and store general location information (such as IP address). If you permit location services through your mobile operating system (“Platform”) or browser, we may also collect and store the precise location of your device when the Courial app is running. This information helps improve delivery accuracy, provide recommendations, and enhance user experience. You can enable or disable location tracking through your device or Platform settings.
e. Information Related to the Referral Program
Courial allows users to invite friends and family to sign up for our Services, sometimes offering promotional value for referrals. We may request access to your mobile device address book to facilitate this process. By sending a referral, you consent to Courial sending your public profile image to the contacts you select. You represent that you have the friend’s consent to share their name and email address with us. We use this information to send referral emails, track the referral program’s success, and send marketing emails.
f. Personal Information from Publicly Available Sources and Third Parties
We may collect or receive Personal Information about you from publicly available sources, social network providers, marketing partners, and/or third parties. This may include:
Social Network Information: Information from services like Facebook when used to log into Courial.
Demographic Information: Information such as income, marital status, spending habits, and other customer-related details.

Each operating system provides its instructions on how to prevent tailored in-app advertisements.

b. Courials and Merchants
We share your information with Courials and Merchants to facilitate high-quality deliveries. This may include your first name, last initial, and order details.
c. Related Entities
We share your information with our affiliates for business purposes. These entities must comply with this Policy regarding their use of your information.
d. When Required by Law
We may disclose your information to third parties, including law enforcement agencies, to protect and defend our legal rights, ensure the safety of our users, prevent fraud, comply with the law, and respond to legal processes or government requests.
e. Corporate Transactions
In the event of a sale, transfer, merger, reorganization, dissolution, or similar event, we may transfer your information to one or more third parties as part of the transaction, including during negotiation.

5. Security
Courial has implemented administrative, technical, and physical security controls to safeguard Personal Information. However, no online activity is entirely secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please take precautions to protect your information, such as changing passwords often and using secure browsers. If you believe your interaction with us is no longer secure, please contact us immediately.
6. Data Retention
We retain your Personal Information as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services and maintain transaction records for financial reporting. We also retain Personal Information to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
7. Third-Party Sites
Some functionality may be provided by third parties, and our Services may link to other third-party websites not controlled by Courial. We are not responsible for their privacy policies or practices. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies and practices of any third-party websites you interact with.
8. Social Media Usage
You may enable or log in to our Services via various online services, including social networking services like Facebook and Google. We may collect relevant Personal Information to access these services and share information with the operators of these networks. The use, storage, and disclosure of this information are governed by the policies of these third parties, and Courial is not responsible for their privacy practices. You may also post your activities on our Services to social networks, subject to the policies of those networks.
9. Children’s Information
Our Services are not intended for children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has disclosed personally identifiable information to us, please contact us at support@courial.com. Parents or guardians may review and request deletion of a child’s Personal Information.
10. Your Choices
We provide customers and authorized agents with the ability to access and delete Personal Information. To exercise these rights, log in to your account to confirm your identity. We do not discriminate against customers for exercising their rights, and they can return to the service after deleting their information.
a. Your Rights
We extend the following privacy-related rights to all Courial customers:
Right to Know: You have the right to know the Personal Information we collect, use, disclose, and sell about you.

Right to Deletion: You have the right to request deletion of any Personal Information we have collected from or about you, subject to legal exceptions.

Right to Rectification: Registered Courial users may modify certain Personal Information through the "Account" page.

Right to Opt-Out of Sale: You have the right to opt out of the sale of your Personal Information. Courial does not sell or rent Personal Information to third parties.

Right to Non-Discrimination: Courial will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

To exercise your rights, log in to your account or designate an authorized agent with written proof of authorization. We may deny requests from unauthorized agents.
11. California Residents
Pursuant to the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, we summarize the Personal Information we collect from consumers, the reasons for collection, sources of information, and third parties with whom we share it. Courial does not have a mechanism to respond to “do not track” signals or similar mechanisms.
12. Nevada Residents
Under Nevada law, certain consumers may opt out of the sale of "personally identifiable information" to third parties. We do not engage in such activity, but Nevada residents who have purchased or leased goods or services from us may submit an opt-out request by contacting support@courial.com. We will verify your identity and maintain your request if our practices change.
13. International Users
Courial is based in the United States, and any information collected will be transferred to and maintained on servers in the United States. By using our Services, you consent to the collection, transfer, storage, and processing of information in the United States.
